Effective date: 2026-05-02. This page describes the Chrome extension “LinkedIn Salary Estimator.”
This extension is developed independently and is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn or Google. If you choose to use optional AI features, you also rely on Google’s services under their terms and privacy policy.
We do not run our own servers to collect, store, or sell your personal data for this extension. There is no account sign-up in the extension and no analytics SDK controlled by the developer embedded for tracking.
The extension may store the following in your browser using chrome.storage.local (local to this profile):
On LinkedIn profile pages you visit, the extension reads public page content visible in the DOM as needed to render the injected panel (for example, role titles, employers, dates, summaries). Processing occurs in the context of pages you have opened.
When you configure a Gemini API key, the extension’s service worker sends HTTPS requests to
Google’s Generative Language API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) with prompts and
related context needed to generate text. That may include excerpts derived from the LinkedIn page you are viewing.
Those requests are governed by Google’s policies and your Google account. Review Google’s Privacy Policy and Gemini API terms as applicable.
For transparency with the Chrome Web Store data disclosure form, this extension may handle authentication information (your user-supplied API key) and website content (public LinkedIn page text in open tabs) as described above. It does not intentionally collect a browsing history list, health data, payment card data, or personal communications content for developer-side processing.
This extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy when the extension changes. The “effective date” at the top will be revised when meaningful updates are made.
